Higgins House

Working with an interior designer and contractor Sonsino Turcan, HoD completely refurbished this Edwardian house in Turnham Green, extending the living and bedroom spaces with a ground floor side return extension and sliding doors to the garden and a loft conversion to add an additional bedroom and ensuite.

The house had not been updated and was in need of complete modernisation. All joinery was designed in house and fabricated by the contractors joiners to our design, to suit the requirements of the client and to fit with the interior designers aesthetic. A complete AV and data system was installed with CAT6 cabling and small pockets of dedicated workspace designed into niches throughout the house. The new system gives the opportunity of flexible home working on most floors of the house.

To the rear the side passage was infilled to create a large family kitchen, dining, family room with a complete bespoke kitchen designed by HoD. Minimal frame sliding aluminium doors allow the boundary between the family space and the garden to be blurred, encouraging external play and allowing the internal spaces to robustly engage with the garden.
