Woodstock Studios

This former Victorian dairy was stripped back to its original fabric and carefully reworked as a 170-square-metre office. The renovation sought to reveal the industrial character of the existing space while introducing a series of precise, contemporary interventions.

Exposed brickwork and the building’s robust proportions provide a textured backdrop to a restrained material palette of birch-faced plywood, stainless steel and concrete. These new elements are deliberately simple, allowing the character of the original structure to remain legible throughout.

A bespoke kitchen is integrated into the wider joinery, while meeting-room doors are concealed within the plywood panelling using jib hinges, preserving the continuity of the interior. Directional track lighting adds flexibility and definition, drawing attention to the varied surfaces and depth of the space.
